Connect Google Search Console (GSC) to Rankley

Set up the GSC integration to sync clicks, impressions, CTR & avg position into Rankley dashboards and audit reports.

Updated over 3 months ago

What is this integration?

The Google Search Console (GSC) integration links your verified Search Console property to Rankley, letting you pull in real-world search data—impressions, clicks, average position, and click-through rate—directly into your audits and dashboards.

Benefits

  • Unified reporting: Combine GSC metrics with on-page, off-page, and technical SEO findings.

  • Performance insights: Track trends in clicks, impressions, and rankings over time.

  • Optimization opportunities: Identify high-value queries and pages to focus your local SEO efforts.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account with Owner permission for the Search Console property you want to connect.

  • The site must already be verified in Google Search Console.

  • You must have the Admin role in Rankley to access the Integrations settings.

How it works

  1. Open Integrations

    • In Rankley’s left sidebar, click Settings, then choose Integrations.

  2. Click Connect

    • Find Google Search Console in the list and click the Connect button.

  3. Authorize Rankley

    • Sign in with your Google account and grant Rankley read-only access to your Search Console data.

  4. Select your property

    • From the dropdown, choose the verified site property you want to sync.

  5. Finish setup

    • Click Save, and you’re done!

Next steps:

• Run a new audit or refresh an existing report to pull in the first batch of GSC data.
• View your Organic Performance metrics under the Reports and Dashboard sections.

Expected result

Once connected, you’ll see a new Organic Performance section in both your dashboard and audit reports, displaying:

  • Impressions

  • Clicks

  • Average position

  • Click-through rate (CTR)

Troubleshooting

  • Connection denied: Ensure your Google account has Owner permission on the GSC property.

  • No properties appear: Confirm that the property is verified in Search Console and refresh the Integrations page.

  • Metrics not updating: Trigger a fresh audit or report refresh; check in GSC for data delay or availability issues.
